R-Type Command figurine

Yeah I know I’ve been an Atlus pimp lately, but they seem to be doing things right this year and are really taking advantage of the upcoming AAA release lull.

The latest: Buy R-Type Command and get a free figurine. As a fan of shmups, tactics games, and figurines, I’m sold.

The metacritic scores so far are middlin-to-good, but you can form your own opinion of the game by downloading the demo from the Playstation store.

Here’s a few more shots of the model. Note that there’s only a few shops participating, so if you want it, you’ll have to grab yours from amazon, or in person at your local GameStop (EB Games in Canada) or Game Crazy.

Here’s the line at one of the flagship Gamestop stores here in town. While there are more people standing out front than I remember at the Halo3 launch, that may be partially due to Gamestop being the only shop in the area holding a midnight release. On Halo3 night, everyone was open.

As for me, I just dropped by to grab pictures. Too many games on the play list right now to consider adding another. Hell, I haven’t even unwrapped Lost Odyssey.
